SYMBOLIC WEDDING IN ORVIETO
Overlooking the wonderful view of the medieval city of Orvieto with green valleys, dotted with Olive groves and vineyards, standing beside a beautiful no-edge swimming pool, immediately giving you the feeling that the water cascades down into the valley already creates the romanticism for couple about to say "I do".
On the September a lovely English couple and their 2year old daughter celebrated their symbolic wedding in this prestigious villa in Orvieto. Some of their family and guests were accommodated on site and the rest of the guests that attended the wedding were accommodated in the nearby historical city of Orvieto.
The day of the wedding was gifted with marvelous sunshine to accompany the work of the wedding-planners, the florists and the bridesmaids in the decoration of the tables, by the swimming pool patio and the chairs lined up in front of the beautifully decorated ceremony table, which was on the edge of the patio overlooking the green valley and the majestic city of Orvieto on the Hilltop.
As the hairdresser is organizing the final touches to the Bride's hairstyling, the 7 beautifully dressed Bridesmaids in their colourful orange satin dresses are helping each other affix the 7 orange rose corsages, which the florist has just delivered together with the beautiful orange and bright pink bouquet, to their wrists, whilst and every now and again sipping a bit of sparkling wine and peeping out of the window which overlooks the swimming pool patio.
The photographer is clicking away with his camera, taking all the preparation photographs of the Brides' group, whilst his colleague is busy taking all the shoots of the Grooms' group in another apartment of the villa.
The time is ticking near and its almost the "I do" time - 3p.m. The Groom, the Best-man, 6 Ushers - all dressed immaculately in a light grey suit with an orange rose for a buttonhole and the guests start taking their places in front of the ceremony table, eagerly awaiting the bride to walk down the aisle, beautifully decorated with orange and pink rose petals.
Everyone turns and watches the Bridemaids, Bride and Father walk down the little winding path that brings them down to the swimming pool patio and every step becomes an emotion, even more so when the little flower girl, their daughter takes part in every minute of the ceremony and in the unity of the symbolical different coloured sands.
After the ceremony, everyone goes to the garden of the second swimming-pool where the welcome cocktail is served and start mingling and enjoying each other's company, whilst the photographers are taking group photographs before the sit-down dinner.
The wedding in Italy sit-down dinner is served on the swimming-pool patio with big candle lanterns illuminating the swimming-pool edge and tea-candles surrounding the coloured floral table centerpieces, illuminating the tables. A truly Italian cuisine 5 course meal, accompanied by good Italian wine is served by waiters paying particular attention to every detail, whilst the music is playing in the background to accompany the meal.
Everyone has some good laughs and many toasts with good Prosecco wine to all the speeches. As the sun sets and evening begins to fall, 9 helium balloons with led lights inside brighten up the background, whilst some small paper hot-air balloons are set off into the night. The wedding cake arrives on a long table with a fruit buffet and everyone gathers around to assist with the cutting of the cake, which will then be served at midnight. Now it's all party, the newly wed couple have their fist dance and the party goes on until early hours of the morn, when some of the guests have to get their bus transfer back to the historical town of Orvieto where they are accommodated.
